Artist's Comments

The first of many new works I hope to complete this fall for my portfolio in preparation for grad school applications. Also the first complete and polished work I've done in longer than I can remember (and certainly one of the more time consuming) and the first piece I've felt was good enough to warrant offering a print of.

An homage to Mucha and gamers everywhere <3

Background done in Illustrator CS3, lines in openCanvas 3+, colors in Photoshop CS3.

I'm working really hard to improve it and make finished work instead of just doodling all the time. I wish everything I did came out this nice @w@

Thank you! I consulted many of Mucha's works in the planning of this piece, and set up a mirror at my desk so I could reference my own hands. Nothing quite ruins a piece like poorly drawn hands!
